Roberto Heckers - Angular Fanatic, Heckers Software | Netherlands

I’m Roberto Heckers, a 33-year-old software engineer from the Netherlands. I rolled into software development in 2013 when I ran my own company and frequently needed to make changes to our websites and webshops. At this point I just dabbled a bit and it wasn’t until 2017 when I made a career switch and became a fulltime software engineer, that I got really serious about it. After I got some more experience, I decided to work for a consulting agency so I could get familiar with a lot of different companies and codebases in a short amount of time. I fell in love with Angular during this period and decided to specialize in that. Now, I’m a freelance software engineer working for the largest energy company in the Netherlands, improving their customer portal and mobile application developed with Angular and Capacitor.
